Rainbow Blades is the official, double award-winning LGBTQ+ & Allies supporters’ group for Sheffield United Football Club. Established in 2020, to bring together LGBTQ+ fans and allies, the group works to make Bramall Lane and the wider footballing world safe, welcoming and inclusive for everyone, regardless of sexuality or gender identity.

Rainbow Blades promotes equality, diversity and inclusion within football by running campaigns, events, socials and LGBTQ+ inclusive football sessions, increasing LGBTQ+ visibility, and engaging with the club & foundation on key campaigns throughout the year. Plus, working year-round on education, awareness and reporting.

Open to all Sheffield United fans, whether LGBTQ+ or allies, the group celebrates its members and community, supports positive change in attitudes, and helps ensure football is a place where everyone feels safe to be themselves.
